1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Your new school
A secondary school in North Birmingham are looking for a Teaching Assistant to carry out one to one support with one of their pupils with SEN. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30 - 3.30 and is term time only. The role in the first instance will be for the autumn term with a possible extension into the spring term.
Your new job
You will be carrying out one to one support across the curriculum with a year 10 pupil. You will be accompanying them to their classes and supporting them with their learning. You will also be supporting them on a social and emotional level and be responsible for liaising and working closely with class teachers and other stakeholders in monitoring and assessing the pupil's well-being and learning progression.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent experience of working on a one to one basis with SEN pupils within a secondary setting or with secondary age pupils. You will ideally have experience of working with pupils with cerebral palsy and be able to evidence where you have impacted on the teaching, learning and emotional support of a child in your care.
