My client, a global logistics company, are currently recruiting for an in house Occupational Health Advisor for a stand alone role to be based at their hub in Stanford Le Hope, Essex.
You will provide comprehensive and proactive Occupational Health service concerning all areas of Occupational Health & Wellbeing to the business for around 500 + employees in addition to contractors. You will be required to carry out pre-employment screening including drug and alcohol testing, health promotion DSE assessments, health surveillance and Sickness Absence case management. You will be asked to review and renew policies and procedures where required and this really gives you the opportunity to make the role your own.
Whilst the role is stand alone you will have support from a medical secretary who will report into you. You will need to provide peer support, supervision and mentoring when required.
This is a part time permanent position working 26.25 hours per week over 5 days (will consider 4 days). There can be some flexibility with working hours which can be discussed.
The candidate will-
- be a registered General Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register
- be experienced within all aspects of Occupational Health
- hold the OH diploma or degree (desirable)
- have a proactive and flexible approach to their work
