The Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager will drive the transformation of processes and systems to achieve world class performance and customer satisfaction, taking the team on a journey to embed lean thinking and skills. They will need to balance their time across strategic improvements and tactical workload, supporting the companies Quality Management System and processes.

My client is a market leading design and manufacturing business in Hampshire.


The Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager will have the following responsibilities:

Develop & implement a world class continuous improvement strategy.
Develop and embed visual management systems.
Improve customer satisfaction particularly with respect to delivery, quality & cost.
Improve efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within the business.
Cascade the ownership of improvement activity to all managers & team leaders.
Help the team use structured problem solving tools to identify opportunities to improve, driving transformational process and culture change.
Use continuous improvement activity and influencing skills to increase staff engagement across the business and at all levels.
Drive the use of data collection & root cause analysis to produce information leading to improvements in operational processes.
Identify, or deliver, training and coaching to employees across the organisation.
Take ownership of change initiatives from conception through to implementation.
Maintain and develop our QMS (ISO9001:2015 compliant) making it accurate, accessible and a tool to support the business.
To implement and maintain any other relevant accreditations.
Oversight of Customer Product Quality Questionnaires & Inspection Test Plans.
Oversight of calibrated equipment maintenance.
Inducting new staff to the quality system & promoting the quality policy.
To take on any other tasks as deemed reasonable by management.Profile

Proven knowledge in leading transformational change in a similar role.
Relevant Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent).
Knowledge of electro-mechanical production environments, ideally with exposure to bespoke / Engineer-to-Order manufacturing environment.
Six Sigma (Green or Black belt) or other relevant lean training.
knowledge of managing ISO9001:2015 & external audits.
Knowledge of coaching, mentoring and training.

Job Offer

£45,000 - £50,000 + benefits
