Role Title: Classroom Assistant

Location: Deeside

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Salary scale: £18,146 - £18,607 based on a salary assessment and relevant experience

Overview of Role

Here at Coleg Cambria we are looking for a Classroom Assistants to join our Foundation Learning and Employability team at our Deeside site. We're looking for a proactive and self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and develop new skills, to join our Foundation Learning and Employability team. Using detailed knowledge and specialist skills, you will provide support in assessing the needs of learners and establish productive working relationships, acting as a role model and setting high expectations where required. You will support the Employability Mentor in ensuring sessions are effective and promote inclusion and acceptance of all learners within the learning environment. Supporting learners consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs, you will promote independence and provide feedback to learners in relation to progression and achievement.

Requirements
  • Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths at grade C or above
  • Pro-active and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive 'can-do' approach
  • Effective and successful management of time and resources to meet challenging targets and be willing to learn and develop new skills.
  • Previous experience of working with NEETs or supporting learners
  • A full driving licence and own vehicle with business use insurance cover is essential.
