Senior Tax Accountant - 12 month FTC (Maternity Cover) - Great Abington, Cambridgeshire - £55,000-£60,000

**Role can support candidates looking for 100% remote working**

Robert Walters are hiring for a Senior Tax Accountant for a leading pharmaceutical company based in Great Abington, Cambridgeshire (located just south of Cambridge).

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity - Interviews will be taking place in September with the successful applicant starting in October or November.

The role will be predominantely home-working and the company are willing to consider candidates looking for 100% home-based working - Though an ability to spend at least some time in the Cambridgeshire head office would be beneficial.

The role comes with a salary of circa £55,000 to £60,000 plus benefits package.

Working with the Head of Tax and the Associate Tax Director, the Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for a varied tax role, covering the business' operations in UK, EMEA and APAC.

The role is predominantely corporate-tax focused, but there will also be some work on transfer pricing, VAT, employment tax and R&D tax credits.

The role has a really good advisory/compliance split and the successful candidate will get regularly involved in advisory and project work in addition to the compliance/reporting.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with the preparation of the quarterly US GAAP tax provision, including return to provision true-ups for all European and Asia-Pacific entities.
Prepare transfer pricing documentation for the European and Asia-Pacific entities.
Prepare R&D tax credit claims for review by the AD Tax.
Review of externally prepared tax returns for European and Asia-Pacific entities.
Calculation or review of corporate tax payments for all European and Asia-Pacific entities and responsibility for ensuring all corporate tax payments across the group are settled on time.
Assist the AD Tax with tax audits, with assistance from external advisers.
Deal with employee taxation issues internationally.
Deal with the tax implications of setting up entities in new countries.
Assist with VAT queries arising in the business.
Keep abreast of tax developments in the territories in which we operate and advising of issues as they impact the business.
Helps to prepare the UK corporation tax returns for all UK entities
Helps to prepare UK GAAP financial statement disclosures for all UK entities.
Assist the AD Tax with ad-hoc projects.
