Teaching Assistant in Rotherham Secondary School

I am recruiting on behalf of an average sized secondary school in Rotherham who are recruiting a number of teaching assistants to support students re-entering school after the lockdown. Students may be struggling to settle back into routine and an understanding of mental health and well being in young people is essential.

As a teaching assistant your responsibilities include:

Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis
Promoting students' academic success and emotional wellbeing
Assisting the class teacher in behaviour management
Reporting any safeguarding concerns
Promting the school ethos and being a positive role model for students
You will need:

Prior experience supporting children or young people in school or in a care capacity
A child workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
A teaching assistant qualification or prior experience in school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
