Treasury Front Office Manager

About the Role

Reporting to, and working closely with, the Group Treasurer, the Treasury Front Office Manager will play a key role in managing a team of dealers to meet our funding, liquidity and hedging strategies; optimising commercials and returns within policy and risk parameters.

The successful applicant will bring to the role a wide experience of dealing in financial instruments that aligns with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment we work in. The ability to provide comprehensive reviews on any new instruments, or changes to the regulatory environment, plays a key part in the role, with the aim of helping to develop the profile of Treasury both internally and externally.

The successful applicant will be required to work independently, and as member of a team, with the aim of achieving our ambitious business plans. You will be required to manage and develop a team of dealers and provide support to the Group Treasurer. The preparation of business papers for Board and ALCO, and the confidence to deliver the papers to Senior Managers is a key requirement for the role.

The role will produce supporting management information, whilst inputting into Treasury policy and strategy. In addition to this, you will assume responsibility for ensuring we work within our internal and external limit framework together with maintaining and challenging our risk appetite.

The role will also support and advise in key business projects and meetings as a subject matter expert.

You will be joining an experienced and enthusiastic Treasury team at an exciting time of growth in the Society's history, and contributing to the role that Treasury can play in delivering the success.

About You

We are looking for a technical and subject matter expert, and you will truly be a driven and inspiring manager in areas critical to the achievement of the Society's success.

You will have great communication skills with the ability to manage a team to help contribute to the planning and shaping of treasury strategy whilst demonstrating dynamic thinking.

You will be able to ensure delivery of objectives within your area of responsibility, linking and working closely with other parts of the function and wider business. You will have strong analytical skills and an ability to interpret data, whilst holding the willingness to present complex issues in a meaningful way to a variety of stakeholders.

Knowledge of regulations for Building Societies including SS20/15 is key, along with the experience of managing internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
