Salary: Package worth in the region of: £32,000 (including overtime)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 5pm, Friday: 8am – 4pm

With just over 240 people in the team, we supply and support machinery to the Groundcare, Construction and Agricultural markets, a mix that has allowed us to weather the toughest of economic times.

Our focus is ‘Sales with Service’ whereby we aim to provide the very highest levels of after sales care to our well-established customer base, something that led us to be awarded the Kubota Gold Plus award for service excellence. This doesn’t mean we get everything right, but we work hard to constantly improve the service on offer, and we know this starts by finding like-minded Field Service Engineers who take similar pride in their work.

About the role…

As well as having great products to sell, much of our success can be attributed to the outstanding aftersales support that our workshops are able to provide and we are now looking for an additional workshop engineer to join the Groundcare team.

This particular position is centred around the smaller hand-held machinery such as walk behind mowers, hedge cutters, chainsaws and brush cutters. These 2 stroke machines need a particular eye for detail to ensure that faults are swiftly detected and repaired…it’s a real art and so whilst advanced service training from Stihl and Husqvarna will be provided, you must have a passion for this type of work.

About you…

The ideal candidate will be a good all-round engineer who enjoys working as part of a team and can also take personal responsibility the quality of their work. Good communication skills are also essential as it’s the conversations with your Service manager, the Parts department and the customers, that allow work to flow smoothly through the department.
