CCTV Operator - Lowestoft - Full Time
Temporary - Maternity Cover
Hales Group are seeking a CCTV Operator who has an SIA frontline CCTV license to work with our client in Lowestoft.
To ensure the efficient, lawful and secure operation of the CCTV Service, including:
Working to a rota of 6 days on and 4 off covering 3 different shift patterns;
Monitoring of approximately 60 CCTV cameras;
Working with and assisting Store Detectives and Town Centre Security via radio/CCTV;
Liaising with the Police via a Police direct radio link;
Logging on/off lone working staff via radio/telephone;
Logging on/off Town Centre Stores, Clubs and Pubs via radio;
Working with the Police and 3rd parties for CCTV reviews;
Production of witness statements and attendance at Court as required.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure the efficient, lawful and secure operation of the CCTV Service including the reporting of technical faults.
To monitor CCTV cameras including the completion of incident logs during the course of the shift. Locate images, instruct and assist the Police on the review desk and ensure all associated paperwork is completed and procedures are complied with.
Use and monitoring of three types of radio systems which include the Corporate Radio (for lone workers, town centre stores, night time economy), Environmental Services and Police airwaves.
First point of contact for out of hours calls for reports of incidents or emergencies. Passing this information on to the appropriate duty officer and other agencies. This also includes major incidents in accordance with the Council Major Incident Plan in order to comply with the Civil Emergencies Act.
