Duties and Responsibilities

Schedule in any pre or semi announced audits ensuring availability of stakeholders. This includes booking of necessary rooms, lunch and refreshments etc
Complete any pre-audit questionnaires accurately and ensure they are returned to the auditing company ahead of time
Carry out a pre-audit 'audit' of the business identifying any potential areas of risk and ensuring that immediate remedial action is taken
Accompany auditors whilst on site, answering any questions as and when they arise
Attend 'wash up' meeting where any areas of non-compliance or risk will be identified and discussed
Help to implement a plan to make recommended changes to procedures or practices that are not compliant and feedback the outcome to the auditors within the required timeframe
To react in a timely manner to any non-announced audits
Carry out any internal audits as requested by Senior Management
Communicate audit progress and findings to all stakeholders

Analyse any potential risks within specific areas of the business i.e. supply chain including sourcing and use of raw materials to avoid compliance issues
Keep track of any compliance violations reported against the company and any actions and plans in response to these
Record any compliance training undertaken by employees
Keep up-to-date on government compliance issues
Ensure that all materials are tested for fire retardancy as and when required, keeping accurate and extensive records of tests and results including failures and repeat tests

Developed IT skills including Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
