Reporting to the COO, the Head of Asset Management is accountable for the company's Asset Management function which includes: Strategy, Planning and Risk management, Water Resources and Asset Information.
As Head of Asset Management, your focus will be on the strategy, techniques for investment forecasting and deterioration modelling, developing and implementing smart systems and approaches to enhance performance and drive efficiency (opex and capex) in meeting Bristol Water's obligations.What will you be doing?
In this role you will be accountable for increasing the maturity of Bristol Water's Asset Management approach through design and implementation of best practice policies and strategies to achieve the business plan performance measures and achieve and maintain the ISO55000 accreditation.
In developing the Asset Management Strategy, you will ensure it is successfully implemented across the business, is aligned with the corporate and business performance objectives and achieves the capital investment and optimisation objectives for short, medium and long term.
You will lead the development, review and implementation of appropriate investment forecasting techniques for use at a strategic level for business planning purposes and at a tactical level for intervention planning and prioritisation. You will use your knowledge to achieve optimal balance between operations, capital investment, performance and risk, taking account of customers' priorities and willingness to pay.
As Head of Asset Management, you will ensure staff are empowered and motivated to deliver exceptional performance, whilst personally acting as a role model for the business demonstrating our values at all times. What we're looking for?
We need someone with proven experience operating at a senior / strategic level in a leadership capacity within a similar environment.You will:
·Have a wealth of asset management leadership experience, preferably in a regulated utilities environment or other dispersed asset rich industry
·Have investment forecasting experience at both strategic and tactical levels
·Have experience in the development and operation of asset deterioration models
·Understand the use of cost benefit analysis, willingness to pay research and optimisation techniques
·Experience in Cost analysis, business planning & delivery of efficiency opportunities
·Understanding of the principles of PAS55/ISO55000
·Degree level, preferably with a mathematical/statistical or engineering discipline
