How you'll make an impact

Your primary focus is to expand Xero's educational content which is utilised by prospective and

existing partners, end-users, students and industry bodies. The role will involve liaising with various partners, community groups and customers to identify course/content requirements for Xero UK and to create high quality digital education. The Education Specialist Team Leader will deliver training via classrooms and scheduled webinars.

You will be a go-to person in the UK Education team for any questions around Xero Education projects for the UK team. You will manage the quality of UK region education content for our Partners and Small Businesses to ensure that the output is always of the highest standard. Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts in the business, ensuring suitability for the necessary market(s)is identified within project briefs delivered to the team. You will play an active role in receiving and prioritising Education requests within the team and provide coaching, feedback and direction to the education specialists, working closely with the Head of Education UK & EMEA, Global Education Manager, Technical Education Lead and Senior Education Specialist.

What you will do
  • Provide line management and leadership to the UK Education Specialists (including regular 1-1's)
  • Contribute to Education Specialist's development plans in collaboration with the Education Manager
  • Project manage assigned Xero Education initiatives and projects
  • Ensure technical expertise on all things related to Xero and the Accounting, Bookkeeping and Small Business industries is applied to education projects
  • Write and produce Xero Education materials
  • Assist with the gathering, analysis, scoping, and prioritisation of new Education requests in line with the team's direction
  • Assist the Global Education team with quality content creation for Xero education
  • Answer questions from the UKl Education team around content creation
  • Provide assistance and coaching to the UK Education team to facilitate high quality production of webinar, video, e-learning and event content
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and communication of project management processes both internally and with stakeholders
  • Assist in the onboarding and ongoing coaching of new team members, and contracted third parties when appropriate
  • Take feedback from surveys and refine content after initial release
  • Gather available data and provide insights, analytics and impact reporting to the Global Education Manager
  • Attend regular product updates and build key relationships to maintain Xero knowledge and provide internal training events for the UK Education team, where necessary
  • Manage the localisation and updating of product education with every new global release
  • Work with stakeholders to identify common support issues that can be addressed through the development or refinement of educational content
  • Build effective relationships with Education Specialists in other Xero geographies to ensure sharing of content and best practice
  • Support the Partner Services Coordinators in the response to client cases
  • Attend regular product updates and provide training events for internal teams when required
  • Drive and inspire a team of education specialists to ensure Xero Education Services are best in class
  • Work alongside Partner Consulting to ensure joint strategic objectives are delivered consistently and without overlap
