The TPP Fundraising team are supporting a leading national charity, head-quartered in London (although the role will be home-based for now) with the recruitment to an interim Legacy Manager post. This is a temporary role while the charity recruits to the permanent vacancy - expected duration is approximately 3 months.
The post reports to the Head of Philanthropy and manages a small team of staff and has the following key responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and implementation of an integrated legacy and in-memory fundraising strategy, working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, to recruit, retain and reactivate supporters, maximising their lifetime value and delivering the best possible supporter experience, based on deep insights and data
- Oversee the implementation and project management of effective marketing activities, including researching relevant information, sourcing individual stories, briefing internal and external contacts, devising project schedules and keeping expenditure within budget.
- Lead on the production of promotional materials with the support of the Legacy Officer. To maintain and develop the relationship with legacy pledgers, ensuring appropriate and regular communication. This may include inviting them to open days and visits.
- Encourage local fundraisers and volunteers to promote legacy and in memory giving, through the charity's Services. This may include running workshops and meetings to share information and maintain their motivation.
To be considered for this interim assignment, you will have demonstrable experience of working at a senior level within a charity legacy team, along with experience of successfully project managing a range of fundraising and marketing activities through direct marketing and local campaigns. Being able to start in post quickly is highly desirable.
