Job Title: Operations Manager - Education
Reporting to: Board Director
Location: Base office- Luton with travel as required.
Salary in £40k full time.
Initial role for 3 months 2 days a week
Develop processes and procedures to deliver an effective, compliant and quality apprenticeship program
Maintain a quality cycle in line with Ofsted requirements - Ofsted Nominee responsibilities.
Manage the performance of the teaching team, ensuring that services are delivered within budget to agreed quality standards and on time.
Conduct regular staff appraisals and recommend training and development of direct report.
Obtain and disseminate information to ensure that staff maintain an in-depth knowledge of deliverable outcomes and payment points on the contract.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations & safeguarding
Develop strategic relationships with stakeholders and FE providers
Develop and publicise a customer-focused culture, reviewing and acting upon learner feedback.
Promote excellent relations with all funding partners & stakeholders
Strictly adhere to the service level agreement and contract deliverables outlined by the funder
Ensure that the team projects a professional, business-like and approachable manner at all times
Control and plan from financial budgets and contract profiles
Provide regular quantitative and qualitative reports to the board highlighting any anticipated performance underperformance and risk areas
Put forward proposals for improvements to the services provided
Ensure compliance with audit, legal, contract and funder requirements
Essential Skills & Knowledge
Experience of FE and HE sector
Experience of a range of FE and HE funded learning
Supporting Overseas learners
Understanding of Ofsted and Inspection framework.
Experience of quality standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
Experience of effective team management across sites
Experience of budget & forecasting processes
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to understand complex funding rules and guidance and explain to others
Desirable Skills & Knowledge
Experience of bid writing.
Assessor and IQA awards, understanding of awarding bodies.
