Urgent new role with the MOD based in Corsham, Wiltshire. They are looking for an experienced In Service Engineer to join their established team
The In Service Engineer provides support or leadership on the technical aspects of the in-service phase. They seek to apply engineering best practice, ensure that all stakeholders are effectively managed throughout the engineering activities, involve specialists as required and actively consider safety implications before making decisions.
Providing technical support through life to the User and other projects, involving and interfacing with Suppliers and specialists as required Take responsibility to deliver delegated technical work packages, making sure that safety aspects are considered Work with Users and Suppliers to ensure the overarching capability is realised to its full potential Minimise and manage the risk to availability, whilst ensuring that the solution remains safe and fit for purpose through life Manage the obsolescence of components, and ensure that the solution is properly disposed of (or terminated) when appropriate.
Manage Change Requests and Accommodation for Corsham.
This team of 3 originally managed Corsham and Boddington and Athena House, however in recent years HOE have taken on St Vincent, St Mawgan and Rudloe South site. The Change team also complete works for sites outside of these Establishments with an advisory role. Boddington has gone from being a data centre and minor fall back facility to a fully functioning working environment for not only the GOSCC but other business units and has had lots of Infra works completed on it in the last few years.
To be suitable for this position you should have:
Project Management experience, APMP or equivalent,
SCIDA (Site Co-ordinating Installation Design Authority (SCIDA) ensures that communication information systems installed on MOD sites are controlled certified and authorised in accordance with the mandatory regulations. This provides assurance in terms of safety, security and compliance)
BS7671/EE 18th Edition Wiring regulations awareness.
Electrical Engineering experience
In addition applicants must be currently security cleared to SC Level
