Group IT Infrastructure and Security Administrator
Reporting to: Group Head of IT
Contractual Hours: 9am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

My client are Europe's leading provider of modern music education and currently runs colleges in six cities - London, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Dublin and Berlin. They offer a full range of Higher and Further Education music courses at degree and diploma level, as well as a Post-Graduate Teaching Course.

Job Purpose
To provide the highest level of IT service delivery standards which is consistent and compliant with the internal IT policies and procedures for both Students and staff across the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of the Group's core VMWare and Windows infrastructure
  • Administration of the Groups cyber security software stack
  • Infrastructure and security project management
  • Shared management of central admin staff support tickets
  • Ensuring a technical infrastructure which is compliant and consistent with IT Policy

Essential criteria
  • Security software management to include:
  • Vulnerable software patch management
  • WSUS Server and client
  • Sophos Cloud
  • Mail security suite
  • Domain administration management to include the following technologies:
  • VMWare
  • Windows server 2012r2 and above
  • Microsoft 365 (with cloud Exchange)
  • Windows powershell
  • Project management
  • Windows Remote Desktop management
  • Windows MFA management
  • Experience dealing with 3rd party support companies
  • Highly organised and focused in delivering a fast and high-quality support service
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Enterprise AV management
  • Cyber threat breach management
  • Mail security policy management
  • Security qualifications / ISO27001
  • Technical qualifications
  • Mimecast security suite management

Accountability
  • To undertake all security governance responsibilities to the highest standard
  • To undertake all management and implementation of existing and future security project deliverables using best practice methods
  • Shared management of the core central server infrastructure
  • Shared management of central admin staff support tickets
  • To maintain a high level of quality communications with all stake holders during any service effecting investigations or planned intrusive project work
  • To manage 3rd party relations where the third party is integral to the resolution of a service affecting issue
  • To perform key technical infrastructure changes in a well-considered and risk adverse manner in line with the business needs.
