About the Role
In the role of Defect Manager, you will specialise in this area of the Test Lead responsibilities. You will join a dynamic and high performing team for an initial 12 month contract contributing to a prestigious project for LV=GI. Responsible for managing the bugs out of our processes, you will be an essential part of the team. You will be in a unique position to shape the way we escalate and resolve bug fixes, and ensuring that fixes are deployed in the correct environments.

At LV=GI we are a collaborative and coordinated team, adopting Agile frameworks were appropriate. The Defect Manager is no exception to this - communicating clearly with your own teammates and other teams. The current climate of remote working will push your written and verbal communication skills to the limits, as you keep our remote work force moving and defects are resolved.

This is the chance to contribute to a leading general insurance provider, in one of the most important projects LV=GI are working on, and with Defect Management, you can help shape what we do and how we do it. Like any good Test lead you'll lead by example, embracing and embodying the LV=GI values.
About You
When it comes to Test Management and leadership, your expertise within Defect Management, in particular is of interest to us. You will be assertive, tenacious and refuse to take no for an answer to ensure the processes you're part of continue to move. You'll be well organised, and your leadership skills will help you to organise others. Defect management requires you to keep your wits about you, and anticipate issues; your relentless determination to overcome obstacles is essential to deploy fixes for the bugs identified in testing.

Triage calls with multiple teams to allocate fixes to the right people, in the right environments, and then retesting in the current climate is a challenge. Your communication skills, and ability to manage others will be evidenced on your CV, and we'd like to hear your ideas on how you do this in the increasingly remote working arrangements that we are all facing in Covid-19 measures and beyond in the 'new normal'.

This is a specialist role that is all about managing stakeholders and our processes, so a strong understanding of General Insurance stack and systems, and a strong technical understanding of the bugs and fixes that systems take is vital.

You'll want to be a part of the LV=GI culture and values, so we're looking for enthusiastic, positive applicants that care about what they do, and who they do it for with the customer in mind at all times!

This is an opportunity to join LV=GI at an exciting time of change, and the work you do will be on a high priority and prestigious project for the business.
