The Head of IT - Customer team offers support to the business in delivering technical change & operations. The role holder will achieve delivery by working in conjunction with key internal stakeholders and supporting 3rd parties which provide the platforms and systems on which Aldermore relies upon.

The role of Business Support Manager is really important to us. This is a vital role that is central to the Retail Finance business lines, in order to mitigate issues and errors that result in downtime to externally facing customer systems minimising any significant financial and reputational damage to Aldermore. The team interfaces suppliers, business and IT and supports business critical systems across all aspects of delivery of change.
What would your day look like?
The main purpose of this role is to act as the bridge between the IT function, System suppliers and the Business Unit. The role is focused on:
Supporting the business with maintenance and support tasks
Enabling continuous use of and improvement to critical customer facing and operational systems
Delivery of small change tasks
Management of the business support analyst team
Support early resolution and reporting of incidents on customer facing systems
This is a critical role that is central to the smooth running and delivery of change to business critical platforms, where issues and errors result in downtime to externally facing customer critical systems that will result in significant financial and reputational damage to Aldermore
What do we expect of you?
Previous experience as a Business Support Manager, ideally focusing on SME Systems or Mortgage Systems
Previous people management experience
Strong communication skills, in particular the ability to "translate" between technical support staff, external third parties and end system users
Demonstrable experience of successful delivery of small projects & BAU enhancements
Knowledge of Financial Services, particularly Banking & Lending, is a preference
