Our Client based in Medway is seeking an experienced Project Engineer HVAC; the role of Project Engineer will report to the Contracts Director and be responsible for project management a diverse range of projects across many industrial, commercial and academic sectors (from start to finish).
To be responsible for and achieve targets on individual projects from the stage where the Company is awarded the contract through to completion in terms of the quality of its design, construction and technical performance, client satisfaction and financial results.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Engineer with:
·Extensive expertise and knowledge on all aspects of building services and a broad range of experience in engineering and management.
·Experience in M&E and the cleanroom industry.
·Experience with a specialist cleanroom equipment and component manufacturer.
·Able to liaise with Clients and their in-house project teams to design and build cleanrooms through programmes that meet the Clients' requirements in terms of technical performance, timescale and budget.
·Be responsible for procuring and monitoring all plant and materials, subcontract packages, site labour and specialist services as well as establishing and controlling all construction phase health and safety requirements, with particular regard to the 2015 CDM Regulations.
·Able to manage quality control, achieving all requirements within co's ISO 9001:2008 accreditation, and prepares technical manuals and other project documentation. Reports directly to clients and to their specialist advisors and consultants, as required.
On individual projects to establish, agree and provide for the design of structures, finishes, air conditioning, filtration systems, furniture, electrical and mechanical services and specialist installations.
To establish and agree a project programme with the Projects Director that will comply with all contractual obligations and satisfy the Client's requirements.
To procure all materials and sub-contract packages from suppliers in a timely fashion and to agreed budgets. To monitor and ensure that the quality of work and materials are appropriate and to the clients satisfaction.
To be responsible for the control and monitoring of job costs against project budgets by means of company cost control procedures.
To be responsible for ensuring that applications and invoices are prepared.
To monitor and agree all cost variations with the Projects Director and to negotiate with the Client's representative.
To report to the Projects Director through the company's operational and reporting procedures on progress via individual project programmes.
Work in accordance with the company's standard quality control procedures including the completion of all project review documentation and provide both positive and negative feedback on all aspects of project performance for the purpose of improving future standards.
To assist as requested with technical, commercial and documentary developments.
To be conversant with legislative requirements and developments.
