CONSULTANT ADDICTION PSYCHIATRIST

REF: JT024589

Hours: 40 hours per week / 10 PA's. Location: RoyalCornhillHospital.

Applications are invited to apply for the post of Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist. The post is based at Fraserburgh Hospital and Royal Cornhill Hospital, a purpose built facility in the centre of Aberdeen.

The postholder will work within a large multidisciplinary team to support Substance Misuse treatment in the specialist Drug And Alcohol Service in Aberdeenshire. The Substance Misuse Service offers specialist secondary care services and supports a community based shared model of care with Primary Care services.

Candidates must have a higher medical qualification (MRCPsych. or equivalent), those trained in the UK should have higher specialist training in Forensic Psychiatry leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR). Applications from candidates with other suitable experience will be considered.

Royal Cornhill Hospital offers a full range of mental health services including General Adult Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Liaison Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Substance Misuse. The service has fully accredited schemes for Basic and Higher Training in Psychiatry.
