This is a new opportunity as a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Oxford. As a reliability engineer you'll combine your software and systems engineering expertise in coding, system design, integration, deployment and ongoing maintenance, to help build and run our precision health software systems. You will be tasked with ensuring our internal and externally available systems have reliability, and uptime appropriate to users needs.

While development is in an early phase we expect to make heavy use of: Python for both data processing and web services; JavaScript (React); and modern DevOps technologies like Docker, Serverless, Infrastructure-As-Code and microservices. We also plan to draw upon the wider company experience with C++, Rust and Go. Initially we will be working in cloud with serverless technologies, but we will also be building solutions to deploy to customer sites.

We are looking for:

? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
? Minimum 3+ years experience building, deploying and maintaining production software.
? Proven software development experience, preferably in Python.
? Track record working with serverless public cloud technologies (e.g AWS Lambda, Batch).
? Experience of infrastructure as code (e.g. Ansible, Puppet).
? Understanding of container technologies (e.g. Docker).
? Experience with performance measurement and profiling of software and hardware using Linux-based operating systems and tools.
? Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to an audience with a range of technical backgrounds.
? Dedication to lifelong learning and a willingness to teach and learn from peers.
? Critical thinking skills, a delivery oriented attitude, and attention to detail.
? Experience of developing and releasing regulated products, especially medical devices, and an understanding of the importance of testing and QA in this area, would be advantageous.

If this role sounds suitable, please apply for consideration.
