Maintenance Engineer, Corrugated Packaging - West Midlands
Leading independent suppliers of corrugated & cardboard packaging to the FMCG, eCom & Food sectors, seek an experienced Maintenance Engineer to deliver excellence and consistency within its impressive 24/5 manufacturing operation in the West Midlands. Your responsibility will be to ensure Production Machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard, enabling maximum production speeds with minimum interruptions and breakdowns.
With proven Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatic fault finding experience, you will be a key member of a small Engineering team, devising, fabricating and installing improvements to a diverse array of Packaging Production Machinery, carrying out planned maintenance to high standards and responding to breakdowns as required.
A high level of diligence is required to ensure Maintenance and Service records are maintained at all times, as well as the flexibility and personality to operate efficiently and effectively at all levels across the production environment.
Your specific responsibilities on a daily basis will be:
* Devise, fabricate and install improvements to a diverse array of Packaging Production Machinery
* Carry out planned maintenance to a high standard
* Respond to breakdowns on Production machines
* Install and relocate production equipment
* Carry out Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatic Fault Finding
You must be able to read Electrical and Mechanical Drawings, as you'll liaise with Contractors, Suppliers, Engineering Companies and other key departments across the site, whilst also maintaining the prerequisite Health and Safety for yourself and others. You will develop good working relationship with all Departments, forged through your experience of working in a high speed, high pressure production environment, ideally within the Corrugate, Carton or Print manufacturing Industry.
Highly responsible and conscientious, working well on your own or in a team, you will be a good communicator, reliable and flexible, with a strong work ethic and be able to effectively prioritise and adapt to a variable workload.
