£22,000 to £35,000 DOE + Holiday + Pension + Bonus

Electrical Design Engineer required for an extremely successful company who specialise in power supply and distribution. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical design engineer or a graduate with knowledge of transformers to work in a varied, customer facing role.

The successful Electrical Design Engineer MUST have knowledge of power supplies including transformers and other magnetic components but can come from ANY industry background. You must hold either a HNC/HND/Degree/equivalent in a relevant subject and will ideally have experience using AutoCAD.

The successful candidate will work within a small team designing power supply systems including bespoke transformers and other magnetic components for a range of industries including aerospace, medical, transport etc. You will work largely with AutoCAD and will be responsible for drawing to component level.

You will be responsible for liaising directly with customers to discuss their specific requirements and ensure product feasibility. You will be involved in creating BOMs and specifications for manufacturing teams and may be involved in additional testing of product prototypes.

The Electrical Design Engineer Role:

* Design of power supply/distribution transformers

* Electrical/electronic bias with some mechanical design

* Must have experience of transformer topologies including single & three phase power (up to 10KVA), audio, line matching, smps, planar and inductors.

The Electrical Engineer:

* Knowledge of Transformers

* Electrical/Electronic background with at least an HNC or equivalent
