So, what skills will the right Platform Engineer have?
- You'll have a solid background in coding - we use Node, React, and Typescript but we're very open to other languages!
- An awareness of best practice TDD
- AWS - this will form a big part of the role, so solid AWS experience is essential
- Infrastructure as Code
- CI/CD tools - any are suitable!
Platform Engineers will work alongside Software Engineers to ensure that they have the right tools in place to further develop our site, while focusing on improving observability, AWS account structure, and SRE work.
As you grow in your role as a Platform Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to drive key decisions around technology and build up your automation skillset.
