My client, a modern and forward-thinking firm of Accountants based in London are looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team.
The firm have an interesting client base and are looking for someone who enjoys a varied role, working with Xero and who wants to grow with the Practice. You will have experience in bookkeeping, statutory accounts preparation, VAT, payroll and preparing CT600s.
If successful, your role will be to look after a small portfolio of clients, acting as their first point of contact. You will ensure that new clients' bookkeeping system is set up on Xero and will manage all of their bookkeeping needs and when everything is set up, delegate this to a junior team member and review their work.
You will also be involved with preparing your client's statutory accounts, CT600s, VAT returns etc.
Two junior members of staff will report to you so you will be involved in providing guidance to them in relation to bookkeeping tasks.
Due to COVID-19, the firm are currently working remotely, so all interviews and (if successful) and induction will be conducted remotely. Once things return back to normal, you would be expected to return to office working, but an element of flexible working may be considered.
