Are you a proactive individual with a proven track record of assessing financial risk and producing insightful financial analysis? Would you like a role that offers excellent benefits including 30 days holiday and flexible working? Then join Shelter as a Finance Business Partner, where you will be an integral member of our Financial Planning and Analysis Team, whose focus is to support the charity through expert advice and analysis, and enable collaboration to support managers in making effective business decisions.

About Shelter
A home is a fundamental human need, as essential as education or healthcare. Yet millions of people across Britain struggle on a daily basis with homelessness, bad housing conditions, soaring rents, discrimination and the threat of eviction. So, we are striving for change - with individuals, in communities, across society - and leading the way to a safe home. We need ambitious, best-in-class individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve.

About this role
This key role will see our Finance Business Partner work closely with our Fundraising team and focus on ensuring our financial plans are clearly aligned to operational and strategic plans and understood by Business Units. You will provide vital financial insight and analysis and ensure a channel of effective, two-way communication with the finance department. You will also be expected to make sure that business decisions are driven by expert knowledge and financial acumen and that the finance team collaborates and communicates effectively to deliver our mission and vision.

About you
A CCAB qualified accountant or finalist, you're someone who can see the big picture and are able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders, assessing financial risk and producing insightful financial analysis. You will have outstanding communication skills and be able to vary your communication style to suit audiences. Excellent attention to detail, a high level of numeracy, and time management including an ability to work to deadlines and reprioritise tasks when required, are all also vital. Experience of working in the charity sector or producing financial reports would be advantageous but not essential.

Benefits
We offer a wide range of benefits, including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, payroll giving, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.
