As an Account Manager (AM) your primary role is to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of assigned accounts in order to deliver innovative and effective ideas. You will focus on the accurate and timely delivery of projects under the leadership of senior members of the account team, ensuring commercial success for both client and agency.

Business Development

· Be aware of and support the Client Services team in preparing proposals / pitch work / presentations

· When appropriate opportunities arise, make clients aware of the services Langland can offer

· Spot opportunities for new business and share them with your manager

· Actively sell the agency's services and project the Langland brand

Client Relationships

· Build and maintain good client relationships

· Establish a clear role within the team as the main point of agency contact during tactical material development once creative and messaging direction is finalised

· Gather, share and act upon client feedback throughout the development of creative work for tactical projects

· Support your manager in running and controlling client meetings

· Participate actively in client calls and meetings e.g. take a central role in discussions on specific materials you are responsible for

· Refer and share any issues with your manager, approaching them with some proposed solutions


· Plan and conduct desk and field market research

· Develop an understanding of marketing strategies and tactics that will be appropriate and effective for your clients

· Develop an understanding of why creative work has been developed and its relevance to a client's strategy


· Take client briefs for assigned projects and draft short briefs

· Brief creative teams in a simple, concise, yet inspiring manner, ensuring, at all times, that they are fully aware of the client's requirements

· Critique creative work and provide evidence based opinions

· Ensure that the creative output matches the client's brief and Langland's standards, as well being compliant with all the necessary legal and regulatory requirements

· Present and sell tactical creative ideas and work to clients on accounts that you are managing on a day-to-day basis

· Champion and demonstrate passion for the agency's creative output


· Demonstrate organisational and time management skills to effectively manage work requirements

· Ensure senior account team members are aware of all critical client deadlines to enable them to support you in prioritising work

· Prepare weekly Work in Progress project list for Production

· Take responsibility within the team for accurately completing Studio WIPs and supplying them to the Studio Manager on time

· Prepare for internal briefing meetings by gathering appropriate materials

· Brief appropriate agency personnel on assigned projects

· Work with Account Executives and Senior Account Executives (where relevant) to prepare Contact Reports in a timely and efficient manner

· Manage and update project tracking tools (e.g. progress reports, translation and print trackers etc.) on a daily basis

· Produce production timetables, monitor progress of projects against timetables and effect timely delivery

· Take responsibility for job bag management by following internal processes, liaising with Traffic / Digital Studio Manager, marking up job bags with clear instructions, version control and ensuring that all work is signed off by the appropriate stakeholders

· Proof read work (and correct if necessary) in conjunction with Account Executives

· Create and maintain resource/reference files to assist agency team on assigned projects in conjunction with Account Executives

· Take client feedback throughout the development process and act as an intermediary between client and agency throughout the sign-off process

· Feed required information on client responses back to agency personnel

· Resolve any project delivery concerns, referring upwards to a senior team member if necessary

· Liaise with key external vendors, seeking support from personnel in other departments where necessary


· Collate costing information for approval or use by a senior member of the team

· Raise client estimates and check those created by Account Executives

· Have an awareness and take a key role within the team for the levels of profitability on your assigned accounts and the contribution they make to the agency's business


· Foster good relationships with all internal departments and cross-functional teams

· Support the development of Account Executives and Senior Account Executives

· Proactively support your manager, suggesting new ideas and questioning thinking where appropriate

· Refer to senior team members for advice and support

· Raise your internal profile through knowledge sharing and internal presentations
