A Client school has come to Supply Desk with a view to finding a Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage one on a full time basis to start September
The school is a lovely Roman Catholic school easily accessible from both Manchester and Bury via car or Public Transport. The role has come about due to the General Teaching Assistant in the class now supporting a pupil who has recently received funding.
As part of being a general teaching assistant in this school there is an expectation to support the class teacher with the everyday aspects of school life including preparing resources for the day, creating displays using the pupil's work and taking small groups for guided reading and phonics. The school currently uses 'Letters and Sounds' Phonics throughout so knowledge of this would be beneficial.
The school is of average size and is located within a housing estate where most of the children come from so the school has a big part to play within the community with the cohort being made up of a lot of siblings. The Head teacher has been in post a couple of years now and is starting to implement ideas throughout the school with work/life balance for staff being at the forefront of this.
The role will initially for the full academic year.
If you are interested and looking to secure guaranteed work until the summer, please email your CV to (url removed) straight away or call (phone number removed).
Supply Desk is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check which must be maintained throughout the period of employment and meet Safer Recruitment standards.
