Finance Analyst, 6 month contract, Cambridge, £(Apply online only) pd

My prestigious client based in Cambridge is currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join their team for a 6 month contract.

The role purpose:

As a Finance Analyst you will carry out forecasting and work with business unit at the initial stage of the project. You will be responsible for carrying out FP&A across the entire organisation. You will be proactive and independent with creating insightful scenario models as well as build strong relationship with senior management.

Initial project activity for finance analyst:

Review the end to end financial forecast process for the organisation and develop scenario modelling capability, allowing senior business and finance management to see the impacts of changing trends in key business drivers and reforecast quickly (potential to roll out to other business units). Provide business insight to aid decision-making
Support the financial modelling of new business opportunities working with business analysts and the core finance business partner team, which may include development of pricing structures for new business and cost / profitability analysis of different options
Support on business case development and assessmentYour key experience:

Qualified accountant
Financial modelling experience - ability to manipulate large data sets, advanced Excel skills and proven analytical capability
FP&A / financial analytics experience
Business partnering skills - ability to engage with senior business leaders and understand business drivers and key decisions, and interpret for financial modelling
