We are recruiting a numbers-orientated individual with a great attention to detail to join a reputable law firm as a Management Accountant. Based at their Nottingham offices, you will ensure the integrity of financial information and the nominal ledger, as well as taking primary responsibility for the firm's central team budget and forecasts. To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials:

Qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent)
IT literate with good keyboard skills and advanced Excel and experience of Word is essential
Experience of Access databases is desirable but not essential
Ability to manage competing priorities
Experience of a legal practice management system is desirable
Knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules is desirable
Confident, articulate and adept in obtaining and processing large volumes of data
Ability to build relationships across the business and work effectively with non-finance colleagues
Previous experience of working in a client focused environment
Be available to work extra hours when needed, primarily at a month end to ensure the completion of month end procedures
Initially this role will be working from home due to the Coronavirus pandemic, however this will become an office based position in the future.

Within this position, you'll also be:

Posting of month end journals
Fixed asset accounting including register maintenance
Balance sheet reconciliations
Variance analysis, investigating any discrepancies
Managing the integrity of the nominal ledger, including setting up and maintaining nominal accounts and cost centres
Leading the annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes for the firm's central teams
Working closely with budget holders to develop and maintain the firm's budget and forecast models
Preparing the firm's weekly cash flow forecasts
Reviewing the firm's payroll alongside the Payroll Manager
Producing monthly management accounts for the bank and quarterly covenant reporting
Compliance reporting
Supporting the external statutory and SAR audit processes and other ad hoc work
Assisting in producing the annual statutory accounts
Salary & Working Hours

Salary is between £45,000pa - £48,000pa depending on experience.

Working hours are Monday - Friday
