My client are specialists in the design and installation of non-standard passenger lifts, goods lifts and vehicle lifts.

They are looking for a Design Engineer for the Provision of design information and drawings and assist with parts sales.

Candidate:

* Team player able to work with many different disciplines

* Dedicated - willingness to work from time to time over extended hours in order to achieve goals set by immediate manager or demanded by business

* Tenacious & accurate - needs to work with minimum mistakes

* Good timekeeper, ability to learn and self-motivated

* Good communication skills. Ability to communicate in written and oral form

* Working on own initiative and/or use of own initiative where appropriate

* Takes responsibility for planning and organising own work where appropriate

* Able to use IT for reporting and maintaining records

* Be able to work to strict deadlines

* Be capable of working efficiently, effectively, diligently and courteously

* Ability to demonstrate good customer care

* Health and safety awareness and safe working practices

* Able to work harmoniously with others, in a positive team atmosphere and build effective working relationships

Key Resposabilities:

Representation and liaison to clients and their professional teams for design and coordination of lift projects Preparation and checking of documents and drawings Collating and issuing documents and drawings including installation information Preparation and checking of documents for suppliers / factory ordering of lift equipment Design and draughting of lift equipment Taking sales calls from existing customers Supporting Site Team with Technical information and advice Liaising with the Notified Body regarding Technical issues and waiver applications Support Technical Director with design related issues Speaking with potential customers and gaining new business Representation and liaison to clients and Focus Lifts teams for design and coordination of lift projects Making technical lift presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs Liaison and co-ordination of equipment specifications and requirements with factories Liaison and co-ordination of equipment specifications and requirements with third party suppliers Keeping up to date with latest standards and Directives associated with lifts Implementation of Company policies, quality, safety and environmental systems Any other duties as may be requeste

Skills and Core Attributes:

* Good understanding of lift packages

* Construction / Modernisations sites experience

* Experience of dealing with both traction and hydraulic lift equipment

* Use of AutoCAD

* Drawing office experience

* MS Office proficient

* Numerate
