Flexible SEN Teaching Assistants needed in Portsmouth

Start date: September

Pay scale: £55- £70 per day

Hours: 8.15 am to 4pm

Supply Desk are proud to be in partnership with the Solent Academies Trust in Portsmouth and are seeking additional Teaching Assistants to support on a short term basis for sickness and course cover.

In particular we are seeking Teaching Assistants who are happy to do this for a secondary special school for pupils aged 11-16 years. The school caters predominantly for pupils with complex needs and autism, with an increasing percentage of the pupil population having a diagnosis of autism. All pupils have an EHCP or a statement of special educational needs.

There will be some children who require assistance with personal care so to apply for this role you MUST be happy to participate with this if needed.

In order to be considered for this position, all applicants must:

be UK qualified or hold a recognised teaching qualification
have previous experience teaching the UK national curriculum
hold a current and clear DBS
be able to commit to the full duration of the contract
have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire all who they teach.In return we offer:
