We have an exciting opportunity for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join a small Chartered Accountants based in Hinckley. The position will be working as part of a practice that provide Business Support Services and Tax Advice to companies and are looking to expand their team due to growth of their business!
What will my day to day look like?
Dealing with client queries in an appropriate and professional manner
Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, LLP's and Limited companies
Assisting with audit assignments
Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns and dealing with HMRC
Support trainees by providing on-the-job training and coaching
Identify opportunities to deliver additional services to the clients and highlight these to the directors
Assist with adhoc projects and assignments
What skills do I need for this role?
Excellent knowledge accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT and income tax
Audit experience essential - the role is around 70% accounts and 30% audits
ACCA/ACA/CIMA Fully Qualified - Essential
Ability to work to deadlines and manage yours (and colleagues) workflow
Ability to see an accounts file through to director review
IT literate - familiarity with Sage, Xero and Iris is preferable
Minimum of 3 years practice experience
Good analytical skills and a proactive approach
