Tempest Resourcing is looking for a Mentoring Co-ordinator to join Victim Supports Children and Young People Service in London.
Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.
The Mentoring Service offers young people who have witnessed or have been victimised through crime the opportunity to connect with volunteers who will support them to reach desired goals and targets.
As Mentoring Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the recruitment and management of a team of volunteers based in the Victim Support, Children and Young People's (CYP) Service. Using creative and interactive training methods, you will design and deliver a training package to harness volunteers lived experience in a positive way
Mentoring is delivered by volunteers via a variety of methods and you will facilitate regular structured volunteer mentor group sessions, as well online, face to face and telephone support options to enable victims and witnesses of crime to achieve the best possible outcomes.
This role is suited to someone with a strong ability to motivate and inspire who can be creative and is able to work on their own initiative, with a solution focus.
The job requires flexible working with some evening and Saturday work required.
This is a locum job with the option of going permanent.
