Room leader/area lead needed in an Outstanding rated nursery!
An exciting position is available from September 2020 at a fantastic nursery based in the BD5 area of Bradford. This is a maternity cover contract for 12 months working 36.25 hours a week, and you will be based in the toddler room. You need to have a minimum of 3 years experience working with children to apply for this position, and be at least qualified to level 3 in childcare. The position is full time, over 4 days a week.

Your main responsibilities would be:
Creating and monitoring activities with the children
Ensuring staff in the room are tracking their children's development and keeping profiles updated
Training new staff members and supporting their profile writing
Using the EYFS to track children's development and act as a key worker to a group of children
Be a key holder to the setting and take responsibility for opening and closing when required to do so
Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
Build good relationships with parents giving them regular updates on their child's progression
To be successful in your application, you will:
Have at least 3 years experience of working with children from 0-5 years
Hold a relevant qualification in childcare to a minimum of level 3 (CACHE level 2/3, NVQ 2/3, NNEB, Degree)
Have experience in a leadership or senior role within childcare
Be able to provide reference details to verify previous work with children
Have excellent communication skills
Have excellent knowledge of the EYFS
It is desirable, but not essential, to also hold the following:
DBS on the update service
Up to date safeguarding training
Food hygiene training
First aid training
