Are you an ambitious Senior Hardware Design Engineer looking to work for an exciting global leader in the Defence and Security industry?

My client is an exciting company based in the Defence and Security Industry, with fantastic growth opportunities within the business, they are now seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team based in Wappenham.

The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will work closely with a small team of highly-skilled engineers to help to design and develop innovative and complex defence and security related products and systems.

Primary Responsibilities of the Senior Hardware Design Engineer
-Design and development of a variety of hardware products including analogue and digital designs.
-First article testing of designs and investigation and resolution of any hardware issues
-Obsolescence management and through life support of designs
-Schematic design and PCB layout, including component level footprint design. Ideally proficient with Altium PCB design tools
-Liaising with manufactures on any production related issues.

Skills & Experience Required for the Senior Hardware Design Engineer
-Digital circuit design experience including micro-processors, FPGA's and associated high speed peripherals.
-Analogue circuit design such as power supplies.
-DESIRABLE: Basic RF circuit design and layout experience.
-DESIRABLE: Basic embedded firmware skills used to exercise and test hardware designs.
