Project Finance Manager
Location: Dorset/Hampshire/NW Wales - can be flexible
Position: 9-month FTC, with potential to be extended. Full time. Monday to Friday. 40 hours per week.
Salary: £45k-50k DOE
Meyrick Estate Management is in its fiftieth year of operation and manages land and property assets for a range of clients as well as operating businesses om various sectors such as real estate, renewable energy, sporting, leisure, and farming. There are three sites in Hampshire, Dorset and Anglesey with the central services based east of Christchurch. The company manages over eight hundred tenures and employs over 50 people across multiple sites. There is a diverse range of work as we continually develop and grow.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a financial review of the group with regards to tax planning and will support the Chief Financial Officer with reporting and administration.
General role and responsibilities
Data review and analysis
Financial planning and modelling
Analysis of existing and potential tax position in investment/trading activities
Assist in the development of planning to minimise taxes
Assist in the implementation of plans
Prepare reports for management and directors
Coordinate resources to achieve results within desired timeframes
Work in conjunction with internal and external relationships to achieve results
Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
Any other reasonable duties according to business need Previous experience and skills
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Good understanding of estates
Good understanding of capital taxes
Sound business planning skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
Financial modelling skills
Effectively organise projects and the ability to work cohesively with others
Effective analytical skills, with the ability to gather and analyse/synthesise data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy as an integral part of the collective analysis/synthesise process
Ability to communicate with all position within the company as well as clients and those outside the company
Ability to handle secure and confidential information
Good understanding of APR and BPRThis position will suit a hands-on, proactive Project Finance Manager who has a sound understanding of capital taxes, particularly inheritance tax, and is able to demonstrate ownership of tasks and a high level of engagement.
