The team works together in a very cohesive way to pass on their knowledge of the industry to one another. They work in a very consultative way with their clients and go to great efforts to understand the problems and challenges that they face to create solutions. The team has a mix of experienced professional horticulturist and passionate account managers with an interest and curiosity about the sector. The business is very innovative and the company culture encourages new ideas and ways of working.
About the Role
This role is all about the success of your accounts and continuing long term relationships to deliver results. You will utilise your experience to continue the growth of the business. You will be able to have empathy with the clients and build trust to sell solutions in a collaborative style. You will be based from the offices in Essex to utilise and add to the knowledge within the team, as well as travel to accounts for face-to-face meetings. Some overnight stays will be required. You will work closely with the internal teams to develop innovative products that meet the customers' needs.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be a passionate and dynamic account manager with an understanding of the commercial horticulture supply chain. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to lead commercial results and build rapport with customers. You will be a strong communicator and be able to work with internal stakeholders to deliver new products, projects and stock to customer requirements. You will be an organised and efficient worker who can work to deadlines and be able to prioritise tasks. Ideally, you will have worked with commercial horticulture growers of ornamental and hardy nursery stock, but this is not a must.
To be considered for this role, as a minimum, you will need to be able to show your track record as a passionate and dynamic account manager. You will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to work in a collaborative way offering solution selling. You will also need to have an interest in commercial horticulture and the horticulture supply chain. You will be willing to travel and stay away during the week when required to visit customers.
~£30,000 - £37,500 DOE + bonus, pension, company car, medical cover etc
