They have an opportunity at their Grimsby Fibre continuous operation factory for a Purchasing Intern.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Support the local purchasing team with optimising purchasing processes with particular reference to materials management
Collect and maintain procurement data on SAP
Liaise with other functions within the business to ensure that the technical specifications of products/services to be procured are clearly defined ie; Engineering
Liaise with current suppliers regarding specifications and check data sheets are within valid dates
Source and assess new products/vendors
Ensure compliance with local and global purchasing standards
Graduate calibre and looking to gain experience in a purchasing team
Highly numerate and IT literate in MS Office (Excel, Word & Power)
Structured and an analytical thinker with excellent negotiating skills
Excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
