Due to our continued success, Ghost Enterprises is seeking to recruit an IT Support Technician. This dynamic role involves working in a small team, across Essex and London, with the ideal candidate having a keen aptitude for learning and developing skills in an ever-changing technological environment and industry.

Ghost Enterprises is seeking a responsive and reliable individual to provide on-going 1st line help desk and on site IT support, including but not limited to, Infrastructure, Desktop, Server, VM and Software support. They will work alongside the IT team to implement plans for delivery, installation, and on-going support, utilising new technology to enhance the business and the customer's journey.

JOB ROLE (not limited to):
  • Supporting the IT help desk and providing 1st & 2nd line support to all clients.
  • Provide on-site, telephone and remote support.
  • Support and administer Aruba, Cisco, TP-Link infrastructure.
  • All versions Windows Server, Exchange, Active directory and Server administration.
  • Install, configure and support of Microsoft based systems and hot fixes.
  • Act as a point of escalation for issues to the IT Head.
  • Ensure that help desk tickets and calls to support are acknowledged and handled within the company SLA's.
  • Managing Anti-Virus and backup systems both locally and cloud based.
  • Ensure all systems are fully audited.
  • Installing software updates.
  • Changing of printer toner, correcting paper jams, other printer problems.
  • Maintaining and setting up new workstations and users.
  • Weekly (and weekend) on-call support rota.
  • Being first port of call for any issues or changes required, such as forgotten passwords, viruses or email issues
  • Monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks.
  • Diagnosing hardware/software faults
  • Working with employees to identify computer problems and advising on the solution
  • Installing and configuring computer systems
  • Analysing call logs so you can spot common trends and underlying problems
  • Updating self-help documents so employees can try to fix problems themselves
  • Testing and fixing faulty equipment
  • Updating and editing websites
  • Maintain installed PCs, networks, telephone systems and peripherals with routine maintenance.
  • Identify potential changes and system improvements to present to senior team leaders for consideration and implementation.
  • Maintain client databases with up to date solutions and clear record of activities.
  • Explain and document technical issues in a clear way to clients.
  • Use a call logging system to accurately record requests.

  • Proactive communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good Understanding of Voip and Networking
  • Excited by emerging technologies

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A minimum of 1st and 2nd line support.
  • Windows OS and MAC / Linux support.
  • Server experience, DC, AD, DHCP, DNS Support.
  • Experience in networking managment.
  • Firewall administration (Watchgaurd, Palo alto etc).
  • Experience with installing and maintaining Ubiquiti systems.
  • Experience with management of phone systems.
  • MS Office 365/ 2007 / 2010 / 2013 / 2016.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills.
  • Willingness to take on new tasks.
  • Having a can-do approach to the requests made upon the IT team.
  • Knowledge of Web design, HTML & CSS, PHP and SQL.
  • A strong technical background

  • Good accurate records keeping
  • Able to explain complex information in simple, clear terms to a non-IT personnel
  • Due to the location and the need to work across several sites, having your own transport and a clean driving licence is essential.
  • Flexible to work weekends if required.
  • Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.
