Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Epsom
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (based on experience)

As a network infrastructure engineer, you will work with our client's engineering team to deliver wide ranging network infrastructure and data centre projects. In addition to project activity your skills will be called upon to provide L2/3 technical support to internal NOC and SOC teams and external Customers.

We provide complete solutions, from secure connectivity to turnkey data centre and from consultation and supply to deployment and ongoing support & maintenance. We are a managed service provider delivering public and private connectivity, network and security operation centre services (NOC/SOC).

We are looking for a senior infrastructure engineer who is driven by quality and achievement. The successful candidate will join a team that services the UK's nuclear, water, road and rail and public sectors. Put simply, we provide bespoke solutions for interesting projects and standard solutions for common needs. Recent projects include: Hydro Electric / Windfarm comms, CrossRail Building Services, Motorway and Tunnels, Process Control and Monitoring, Met Police, Security Integration (nuclear) and more. We offer a complete solution that also encompasses network and security monitoring, maintenance and support.

Who You Are:

As infrastructure engineer, with 7+ years' experience you will be competent and an integral part of the IT4A engineering team. You will be degree (or equivalent) educated, have industry qualification (e.g. CCNP, VMWare, MS Windows), be an excellent written and verbal communicator, an effective planner, able to think on your feet and manage your time. You will be an analytical thinker and recognise the benefit of using and developing standard working practices.

You will enjoy working both independently and within a team. Whilst generally office based, you will enjoy the opportunity to work on Customer site during implementation phases. You will gain satisfaction though collaborative working practices with colleagues and customers alike. You will understand and employ the key elements of project delivery and you like to make a difference.

An ideal applicant will be security cleared to SC or higher enabling assignment to our more interesting and challenging projects and, by the start of their employment, have permission to work in the UK.

What you'll be doing:

IT4A is highly technical Company, they are the go-to organisation for some of the UK's most critical infrastructure installations. Applicants need to be experienced practitioners that want to get involved in challenging network deployments, this role will not suit someone without experience.

Where you'll be working:

Our office is in Epsom Surrey ( ), a 5-minute walk from the mainline rail station and the centre or town.

The role is primarily office based but there will be, project dependent, site-based activity and adhoc consulting visits.
