An established and well-respected house builder in the Leicestershire area is looking to appoint a Part Qualified Accountant to provide support and cover to the Finance Manager. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the timely production of the management accounts whilst also supporting the finance team.

* Liaising with Quantity Surveyors and reconciling WIP

* Producing monthly margin report per plot and reconciling management accounts

* Preparing and processing monthly prepayments, accruals and journals

* Reconciling balance sheet control accounts

* Analysing overhead cost and reviewing against budgets and discussing it with budget holders

* Posting cashbook and reconciling to nominal/ bank statement

* Process house sales, allocating cash & reconciling control accounts

* Leading purchase/sale/cashbook ledgers and managing team of 5/6

* Processing expense claims

* Processing credit card expenditure & reconcile to control accounts

* Assist in the year end processes, auditing & budgeting

* Understanding and improving controls and procedures

In order to be considered for this role you must be studying towards ACCA/CIMA and have experience of managing a team.

* You must be self motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

* You must be able to work as part of a team and independently

* Excellent computer skills are required with Intermediate/Advanced level Excel

* Strong organisational skills are essential
