£45,000 - 55,000 + Benefits

George is starting an exciting journey with the re-engineering of its core supply chain systems to support the expansion and growth of its fashion business. We are looking for a full range of skills and experience to be part of this journey, so come and join us.

The programme is expected to be for 18 months and will expand the largest European Fashion data SAP implementation to date and integrate with peripheral end to end supply chain applications. You'll work with multiple technology partners, the worlds biggest retailer Walmart and be at the heart of enabling the future of fashion retail. You'll need to be a self starter, show great passion and depth of experience in your area and energised to meet the challenge.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an expanding Programme team at George and establish a Technology roadmap for one of the biggest fashion Retailers within the UK. As the Technical Solution Architect, you will report into the Technical development and maintenance Manager, working alongside the Architecture team and be responsible for establishing the Technology roadmap for all George Applications including key SAP Applications. You will work closely with and provide guidance to many of the technical teams within George and specifically work closely with a Basis team to ensure Application build, upgrade and maintenance.

This is a key position with a breadth of accountability. You will work as a part of a team and help solve complex Technical issues from strategy to execution and have a proven track record in providing Technical architecture support to Businesses (preferably Retail) for SAP solutions. To be successful you will have a breadth of technical capabilities including but not limited to, creating and owning Technical roadmaps, hosting (On Prem and Cloud), licenses, security and risk management, Networks (WANS, LANS), performance testing to meet non-functional requirements, application sizing, whilst having knowledge of and supporting in environment management, change and release management, patch management. Key to the role is extensive experience in being able to lead the relationship between the Business and the SAP Basis team to ensure technical requirements are met.


* Strong knowledge of SAP Basis

* Strong overall knowledge of SAP solutions and a good understanding of the underlying infrastructure

* Experience of working with SAP S4/HANA

* Experience of working with SAP MPR

* Experience of On Prem and Microsoft Azure

You'll have a practical awareness of architecture frameworks (such as TOGAF) and be familiar with creating models that communicate baseline and target states. We use Archimate, so it would help to understand this notation.
