This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and operationally-focused Financial accountant / Financial controller, to join a global business that have traded solidly throughout lockdown, while they keep the country moving!
You will initially take responsibility for the Group Purchase Ledger function, one of the busiest teams in the company, before the role grows into other areas such as acquisitions.
International multi-currency experience is therefore key to this role, along with solid knowledge of global VAT laws and accounting legislation, as the AP / PL team work across UK, Europe, USA, Asia and Australia (15 countries and growing!)
This is a high volume, high pressure function, that requires robust processes and controls in place.
Location: Crewe - easily commutable from Stoke, Chester, Warrington, Stafford, Stockport, Macclesfield, Wrexham, Shrewsbury, etc.

You will be working in beautiful new-build offices, with onsite gym, break out rooms (table tennis and pool table!) and canteen. There are excellent opportunities for training and development including international secondments.
You should have worked in a similar global organisation, ideally blue chip banking or financial services, with demonstrable skills in managing a team and establishing robust financial processes within Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable.
Systems implementation and integration experience is essential for this role (ideally working with Sage accounting software).
Professional qualifications would be great, but being qualified by experience / QBE is fine too.
