Maths Teacher (SEMH), Stowmarket
About the School and the Maths Teacher post:
Prospero Teaching are looking for a Maths Teacher, ideally with previous experience working with children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
We are looking for a Maths Teacher to work with young people with a range of special needs including SEMH, Autism and ADHD.
You will be teaching small groups of 4 - 6 students and will have LSA's in the class to support you. There may also be some 1:1 teaching involved.
You will teach classes across key stages 3 & 4 and the students will be of varied abilities, hence good differentiation skills are required. However, most are likely to be at a low level.
This is a permanent position to start in September 2020, although the School may decide to use the temp to perm route.

Minimum rate of pay - £24373.
Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Maths Teacher position:
Previous experience teaching Maths to at least Level 2, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this in not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
Previous experience working with SEMH would be advantageous as would a good understanding of Special Education and Alternative Provisions.
A passion for both Maths and for working with children with SEN.
