Cost Clerk

Brownlee Dean are currently recruiting on behalf of a Civil Engineering Contractor in Wales who are seeing great success on project wins and now need to recruit within their Commercial Team.

We are looking for experienced Cost Clerks with experience of working in the Construction or Civil Engineering sectors.

The role

You will be responsible for carrying out the following duties;

* Recording & controlling of site costs

* Cost books to be issued weekly

* Liaising with the site management team to ensure costs are allocated to the correct activities

* Producing monthly cost summary reports for payment applications

* Assisting the site commercial team

* Assist in the production of monthly cost-value reconciliations

* Assist with the population of costs associated with Compensation Events

* Assist with material purchasing

* Produce monthly supply chain reports


* Applicants should have proven experience as a Cost Clerk or Payroll / Finance Administrator

* Experience working within a commercial team within construction or civil engineering would be desirable

* Excellent IT & Numerical Skills

* Good attention to detail

* Familiar various accounting software

* Ability to work well under pressure


This is a permanent position with a salary of £20,000 - £25,000 Depending on experience plus car allowance of £3,000 & pension
