Position: Gear Cutter

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 5pm, Early finish on Friday 08:00-1:00

Salary: £13.13 per hour

My client is a long established UK manufacturer and supplier for the design and production of gearing systems and specialist gearboxes. They specialise in the aerospace and defence power transmission field, and has an "in-house" design and technical department to call upon for the development, prototype and manufacture of systems and assemblies for commercial, medical, military and aerospace industries.

Key Responsibilities

Plan workload with team members
Booking on and off work orders using SFDC
Completion of all quality and production routing documentation
Produce programming and setting documentation when necessary
Setting, programming and running of conventional/CNC machines to produce components to required specifications using manufacturing drawings, routings and machine setting sheets
Self-Inspection of componentsEssential Skills & Experience

Skilled, flexible Toolmaker with manual milling skills and CNC experience able to work to very fine tolerances
Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
Inspect components during production to ensure drawing / spec requirements are maintained
Knowledge of Barber Coleman/Sykes/Gleason/Doimak and Matrix machineBenefits
