Quality and Standards Officer to Academic Registrar

£28,111 per annum

Blackburn College provides higher education to more than 3,000 students within a dedicated University Centre, making the College one of the largest and longest established providers of higher education in further education in the UK.

Located in the Quality and Standards Office, the role will include supporting the Academic Registrar and wider University Centre academic teams with the administration of key events in the HE academic calendar - Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) applications, Assessment Boards, validations and annual monitoring

Reporting to the Academic Registrar you will have experience of working in the Higher Education sector and operating within either a faculty office or similar busy Higher Education admin environment. You will have hands on experience of Assessment Boards and/or validation and course reviews within a Quality Unit.

You will need a UK Honours degree or NARIC recognised degree in a relevant discipline and a relevant UK along with recent management experience within a higher education quality and enhancement environment. In addition you will possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and be able to act with tact and discretion. You will have the ability to work under pressure, taking a methodical approach with an excellent eye for detail and will be a strong team player. You will have excellent planning and organisational skills. A relevant UK or NARIC recognised Postgraduate qualification is desirable.
