Serving as the first point of contact and to serve as a unifying link in the company, and in many respects to be the business' human face. They must strive to always project a positive image and make people feel welcome in a sometimes pressured environment.


- First Point of contact - Greeting visitors and directing them to the correct person and department. Act as first point of contact, face to face, by telephone and via email between the company and members of the public, including clients, prospective customers and other mediums. Must be able to provide accurate information to visitors so must ensure that they are familiar with the contacts within the business

- Office Support - Managing the visitor book and to help out with general tasks around the office that need doing, such as planning business lunches, preparing packages to mail, cleaning the break room, stocking the supply room and calling vendors in to fix broken machines or equipment. Managing a room booking system and keeping the reception area tidy. Dealing with incoming and outgoing post and deliveries. Arranging appointments and updating records on databases.

- Assisting the EA - as and when required with Board and Director meetings, assisting with Board papers/packs. Booking flights and accommodation. Elevating some of the administration from the EA.

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- GCSE's or equivalent in Maths and English
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Fluency in English.
- Basic language skills would be a bonus
- Customer facing experience essential
- I.T. literate. Capable of speed and accuracy of data processing. Experience of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Organisational skills
- The ability to use office equipment like computers, telephone systems, photocopiers and fax machines
- Confidentiality and loyalty with regards to sensitive matters

Personal Competencies
- Professionalism in the approach to all visitors to the business at reception, on the phone and via email.
Personable with excellent communication skills
- Technology Skills of IT software, especially Microsoft Office and office equipment.
- Organisational skills
- Multitasking Capability to ensure that conflicting priorities are managed effectively.
