Head of Architecture
A job opportunity has arisen for a Head of Architecture / Head of IT Architecture to join a highly established organisation in Cardiff that are undergoing a period of reinvention and digital transformation. This position would suit a forward-thinking individual who can make a significant impact by taking responsibility for all technology architecture across the organisation. The Head of Architecture will be responsible for providing services for IT architecture, security and QA / Testing to the IT department, ensuring that there is a clear technology landscape to support all strategic business objectives. The Head of Architecture will be responsible for creating, managing and communicating the architectural vision, standards and roadmap that will underpin all IT investment and solutions across the business. You will develop and maintain the roadmap of projects / changes with a view to drive the business forward to the latest architectural standards. You will provide advice, governance and analysis to the IT department and business units on the impacts of any technological changes regarding the current and future architecture. Furthermore, you will be accountable for all cyber security policies, standards and operational requirements for cyber security compliance, including providing key cyber security intelligence to all relevant business areas. You will also take ownership for the QA/Testing policies, standards and requirements across the business, which includes leading on the development of an automation testing framework. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: * A proven track record in solution design and implementation is essential * If you hold a TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification or similar this would be an advantage although it is not essential * Comprehensive experience of best-practice security design is essential. * If you have any experience developing and deploying a QA function this would be an advantage although it is not essential * Degree in Business, Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent experience * Ability to lead, coach and mentor direct reports and teams is essential.
